Clear acrylic and resin chairs that disappear into the room

A transparent chair keeps sightlines open in a packed room and takes on the colour of the venue lighting. Two materials look identical on a sample stand and behave very differently after a season of handling.

Why clear seating

What a transparent chair actually does for a room

Clear seating is not a fashion choice, it solves two problems at once: it keeps sightlines open in a room that has been packed to capacity, and it takes on the colour of whatever lighting the venue is using.

Sightlines

A ballroom set for 300 guests looks smaller than the same room set for 200, and the chairs are the reason. A transparent seat removes most of that visual mass, which is why clear ranges are common at brand launches, gallery dinners and venues with a view worth protecting.

Lighting

Under coloured uplighting a clear chair picks up the wash and reads as part of the scheme rather than as an object in front of it. Photographers notice the difference: the chair does not cut a dark silhouette through the table setting.

Weight and handling

Both models are lighter than the steel Chiavari of the same footprint, which matters when a crew is resetting a room between a ceremony and a reception.

Materials

Two materials that look identical and behave differently

Both are sold as "clear chairs". The difference only shows up after a season of handling, so it is worth deciding deliberately.

Care and storage

Warm water, neutral detergent, soft cloth — no solvents, no abrasive pads. Store stacked and covered; the enemy is not use, it is dust settling into a sunny storage bay for six months.

Ordering

Sample, specify, ship

1. Sample

Order one chair in the grade you intend to buy. Hold it against the venue lighting before committing to a fleet.

2. Specify

Confirm material, tint and whether the chairs need an outdoor grade. This is where the price difference sits.

3. Ship

10–20 working days from deposit. FOB, CIF or EXW with documents prepared for your broker.

Questions buyers ask

Clear seating, in practice

Do clear chairs yellow over time?

Acrylic and PC both change under sustained UV. Indoor use with normal daylight is fine; for outdoor ceremonies we recommend a UV-stabilised grade and storing the chairs covered between events.

Can clear chairs be stacked?

Yes. Both models stack, which keeps delivery and off-season storage practical. Stack height is confirmed per model because the leg geometry differs between the Napoleon and Phoenix profiles.

Is acrylic or PC the better choice?

PC is more impact-resistant and is what we recommend for rental fleets, where chairs are handled roughly. Acrylic has a slightly cleaner optical finish and suits venues where the chairs are placed once and left alone.

How do you clean them?

Warm water with a neutral detergent and a soft cloth. Avoid solvents and abrasive pads, which dull the surface permanently.

What is the minimum order?

50 pieces per model. Clear and tinted versions of the same model count towards the same minimum.
