Timber is the largest part of the cost, so the specification conversation starts with the stain and the seat, not the price.
A metal frame with a cracked weld goes back to a workshop. A timber chair that loosens can be re-glued, sanded and refinished on site by any competent carpenter — which is why barn venues, restaurants and wine estates keep buying it.
Wooden chairs do not fail at the timber, they fail at the joint. Look at how the leg meets the seat rail: a proper mortise-and-tenon or dowelled joint that has been glued and clamped will hold for years, while a screwed butt joint will loosen within a season of banquet use. This is the single question worth asking any supplier.
A stained and top-coated chair can be repaired invisibly; a painted one cannot. For venues that will refinish in five years, stain is the cheaper decision over the life of the chair.
Timber is heavier than steel of the same section, which is why wooden chairs are usually placed for a season rather than reset twice a day. If your crew moves 300 chairs between a ceremony and a reception, this is the wrong material — take the Chiavari range instead.

Most of our wooden chair orders begin with a photograph of the venue's existing bar top or floor. We match the stain to that reference, send a panel for approval, and only then start production. Getting this wrong is expensive to fix after shipping, so the approval step is not optional.
Send a photo, a colour code or a physical sample of what the chairs must sit next to.
We finish a panel in the matched stain and send it for approval before production.
15 working days from deposit and panel approval. FOB, CIF or EXW.
The range is built to order, so the species is agreed per project — the constraint is usually the stain you need to match rather than the timber itself. Send a photograph or a sample and we confirm what is achievable.
Yes. This is the main reason venues buy wooden chairs from us. A colour reference or a physical sample is matched, and a panel is approved before production starts.
For a ceremony, yes; for permanent outdoor storage, no. Solid timber moves with humidity, so the chairs should be stored indoors or under cover between events.
Wooden chairs stack in smaller numbers than metal frames because of weight and the risk of rubbing. The exact height is confirmed per model.
50 pieces per model.
A price range is easy. A number you can budget against needs these things, and most take a minute to confirm.
